OWNER OF REGAN AVIATION Mike Regan (Golden Globe-nominated Pierce Brosnan: James Bond; No Escape) is impressed by new IT man Ed Porter (James Frecheville: The Drop; Animal Kingdom) when he joins the team of long-term employee Andy (David McSavage) and apparently saves the day by rescuing the presentation of a new app when the public launch goes wrong.
Mike asks Ed to go to his house to look at his slow WiFi, little realising that he is about to unleash a terrifying chain of events upon his wife Rose (Anna Friel: Limitless; London Boulevard) and teenaged daughter Kaitlyn (Stefanie Scott) that will put all their lives in danger in the technological thriller I.T.

Believing himself to be indispensable to Mike, Ed tries to ingratiate himself with his boss and also targets Kaitlyn, who is at first flattered by his attention but then he begins to stalk her and it becomes obvious that there is something very wrong with Ed.

When Mike turns Ed away from a family party, Ed is incandescent with rage and seeks revenge by using his skills to re-activate CCTV cameras in the Regan households, relaying them to his own computer.

At first Ed just gets pleasure from secretly watching the family but he soon heaps misery and humiliation on Mike, Rose and Kaitlyn by sending a sensitive piece of film viral, reaching the phones of Kaitlyn's classmates and hacking into Mike's personal and business accounts.

Soon Ed has control of Mike's life and Mike is faced with losing everything following an investigation by the SEC triggered by Ed. Things are about to get a whole lot worse when Mike calls on his old contacts, who make worrying discoveries about the man behind the name Ed Porter.

Tech-specialist Henrik (Michael Nyqvist) comes in and cleans up the Internet for Mike, taking down every piece of information about the Regan family, and they seem to be beating Ed at his own game. But Ed is much more dangerous than Mike can imagine and it is not yet over…
