Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs

Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs“Yet another film series that goes from
strength to strength, Ice Age sees
a third incarnation with Ice Age 3: Dawn
  Of The Dinosaurs
— billed as the biggest
animated film of the year, the movie is
stacked with all the cuteness and fun of
  the first two
...

THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES in Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs as Manny (voice of Ray Romano), Ellie (voice of the gorgeous Queen Latifah), Diego (voice of Denis Leary), Crash (voice of Seann William Scott), Eddie (voice of Josh Peck) and Sid (voice of John Leguizamo) prepare for a new addition to the family: a baby mammoth.

Diego is thinking of leaving as he feels Manny's family will be complete without him and the ever-reckless Sid discovers some dinosaur eggs. Broody at the thought of Ellie's baby, he paints them with faces and cares for them like children. And when the eggs hatch, the three baby T-Rex's believe him to be their mother. That's when the trouble starts...

These babies are destructive with a capital D and very soon wreak havoc, even swallowing one of their fellow creatures in the nursery! (Don't worry; it's all part of the adventure!) Very soon the babies' real mother is on their trail — and she's not happy.

When she takes off with Sid and her babies, a frantic Manny, Ellie, Diego, Crash and Eddie give chase to save Sid. They find themselves in a lush, tropical land that time has forgotten. This lost world that is the beautiful but dangerous land of the dinosaurs. Luckily the family is befriended by pirate Buck (voice of Simon Pegg), a jungle-wise, one-eyed weasel with many a tall tale to tell. But in the dark heart of the primeval jungle something stirs — and it's even bigger than the mother T-Rex.

Into the Chasm of Death and across the Plates of Woe go Manny and his friends, bravely determined to rescue Sid. There are some very funny sequences, including one involving helium and some charming scenes such as the continuing saga of Scrat (Chris Wedge) and his pursuit of the acorn — but this time he becomes sidetracked by the flirty Scratte (Karen Disher), who may have an ulterior motive.

Buck hitches a ride on a pterodactyl and at the worst possible moment Ellie's baby chooses to put in an appearance. Just when you thought it couldn't get any cooler, your favourite prehistoric characters from Ice Age and Ice Age The Meltdown are back in an all-new animated adventure that really is suitable for all ages.

Will the friends find Sid and make it safely back to their homeland with new baby Peaches? Can they persuade the wonderfully-enthusiastic Buck to join the family? Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs is hysterically funny, highly entertaining and a visual delight. And Queen Latifah is the jewel in the golden crown.

Freezing its box office competition into the cold with worldwide receipts totalling nearly $900 million, this latest record-breaking film in the outrageously popular family franchise is the biggest Ice Age adventure yet. The third highest grossing film of all time at the international box office (after Titanic and Lord Of The Rings), Ice Age 3 also earned a cool £34.6 million at the UK box office. It's nice iced!

The usual snappy one-liners abound, such as: "I liked it better when you were extinct" and there is a Peter Pan-style incident with Buck, who has stolen a tooth from giant dinosaur Rudi. And Rudi wants it back.

The family favourite film of the year, the limited edition Blu-ray Triple Play Pack of Ice Age 3 includes a hi-def Blu-ray for home viewing, a DVD for the children and a Digital Copy disc for watching on the move. A complete collection for the ultimate family viewing experience.

The coolest animated Blu-ray disc of the year, Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs extends the gi-normous adventure of the film's fun-for-all experience with a mammoth selection of special features.
