If
you love the sound of breaking glass, Invisible Target will be right up your
street as this superbly-crafted martial
arts cop thriller has plenty of it along
with first-class action and nail-biting
tension...
THROWING YOU RIGHT INTO THE MIDDLE of the explosive action from the start,
Invisible Target grips you instantly and leaves you wondering how it
can get better. And it does.
After his fiancé is killed as a security truck explodes outside the jewellers
where she is choosing their wedding rings, seasoned cop Chan Chun (Nicholas
Tse: The Promise) crosses the line. The ruthless, cold-blooded gang of
criminals responsible have escaped with $100 million and will kill anyone who
gets in their way, regardless of who they are. A devastated Chan Chun is out
for revenge and he doesn't care what he has to do to get it.
By contrast, gentle rookie police officer Wai King Ho (Jaycee Chan, son of Jackie)
does everything by the book. He is determined to follow in his older brother's
footsteps and become a great cop. But Wai King-Tat has disappeared while working
undercover amid rumours that he has joined the gang he had infiltrated.
Everything is about to change in Wai King Ho's mundane life and he finds himself
embroiled in a perilous assignment where his life, and those of his colleagues,
hangs in the balance. Determined to clear his brother's name, he seeks to find
the truth.
Along with Chan Chun and his friend, Inspector Carson Fong Yik Wei (Shawn Yue:
Infernal Affairs), Ho is prepared to risk his life to put an end to Hong
Kong's most deadly mercenary gang, led by the cold-blooded killer Ten Yeng Seng
(Kung Fu impresario Wu Jing: The Mummy; Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor; Kill
Zone).
As the city explodes, the peacekeepers are plunged into a deadly war zone. The
body count rises among both civilians and police officers and a no-holds-barred
battle for survival, justice and revenge forces the three cops to forget the
rule book, setting aside their own personal vendettas in order to end the bloodshed.
Pitted against criminals highly-skilled in martial arts and who know no bounds,
the police officers have to find the arms dealer who has supplied the gang and
track down its members in order to prevent a large-scale catastrophe where many
civilians could be killed including a busload of small children. And
the clock is ticking…
