An
awesome, punchy, and pulsating
illegal road race between supercars
is the climax to the adrenaline-charged
thriller Need For Speed as a talented
motor mechanic sets out to prove a rival
driver framed him for auto theft and the
manslaughter of a close friend...
A UNIQUE MUSTANG IS THE NEXT PROJECT for hard-up garage boss Tobey Marshall
(Aaron Paul: Breaking Bad) when wealthy Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper:
The Devil's Double) asks him and his friends to finish building the last
Mustang that Ford had begun with Carroll Shelby who was, sadly, unable to complete
it before he died.
Tobey is reluctant to take the project at first, despite Dino's offer of a great
deal of money in the belief that he could get $3 million from an English collector,
as he has already reneged on a previous deal; but he is accompanied by the sassy
Julia Maddon (Imogen Poots), who makes her living tracking down rare and desirable
cars for clients and she will prove to be more than just a pretty face.
A
nerve-shredding,
visual and dramatic
thrill-ride,
the mesmerising
Need For Speed
turns action on its head.
Dont look away!
Dino
also persuades Tobey to take part in an illegal road race with him using three
Koenigseggs "borrowed" from his uncle. To Tobey's horror, Dino also talks the
mechanic's friend Little Pete (Harrison Gilbertson) into driving the third car.
Despite Little Pete often having psychic visions that come true, the race ends
in a terrible tragedy and Tobey is left to suffer the consequences.
Framed
for a crime he didn't commit, Tobey is imprisoned for stealing the Koenigseggs,
racing illegally and for manslaughter. Even Tobey's former girlfriend Anita
(Dakota Johnson), who left him for Dino, appears to believe he is guilty and
only his closest friends are there on his release.
In order to make desperately-needed money, Tobey decides to enter another illegal
road race where the winner takes all the cars competing are collectively
worth over $7 million and include an F450, Ford Shelby Mustang, Crown Victoria,
Interceptor, Grand Torino, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, McLaren and a Saleen.
But first Tobey has to find a car; and then he has to get across America to
California to the race against all odds chased by men who don't
care what they do to get the bounty Dino has placed on his head to ensure that
Tobey will not take part in the race.
White-knuckle tricks are turned as Tobey engages in some pretty terrifying and
dangerous driving, with help from an unexpected source. Tobey has no choice
but to endure a bone-shaking and hair-raising helicopter ride in his desperation
to get to the start of the race in California and with his life in danger and
his reputation on the line, the clock is ticking...
The climax is one of the most amazing and reckless road races you have ever
seen. Having run the gauntlet of the ruthless drivers out to get them in exchange
for a rare Lamborghini provided by Dino, will Tobey live long enough to win
the race and to clear his name? A nerve-shredding, visual and dramatic thrill-ride,
the mesmerising Need For Speed turns action on its head. Don't look away!
