  Jack Sparrow crosses swords with

  On Stranger Tides
...”

PROVING THAT SOME SEQUELS CAN ONLY GET BETTER, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides hooks the viewer from the word Go and sucks you inextricably into the hilariously funny yet thrilling high-seas action adventure that is the fourth instalment of the phenomenal series.

Packed with excitement by the keg-load, Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has already taken over $1 billion worldwide at the box office and stars the enigmatic Johnny Depp as the impossibly roguish, charming and iconic Captain Jack Sparrow, hell-bent on being the first to find the fabled Fountain of Youth.

In London, England, Captain Jack Sparrow's long-time comrade Joshamee Gibbs (Kevin R MacNally) has been mistaken for the pirate captain himself, arrested and put on trial for his life. Jack comes to the rescue but his plans go awry and the pair end up at Hampton Court Palace in the presence of King George — who has heard that the Spanish know where to find the Fountain of Youth and wants Jack's map that shows its location.

Jack's old adversary, the vengeful (and now peg-legged!) Captain Hector Barbossa (Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush), is with the king; and he claims to have sunk Jack's ship, The Black Pearl. Watch Jack extra-carefully at this point: he never does anything without a reason. His escape from the Palace is spectacular, brilliantly funny and superbly executed; especially his brief encounter with a Society Lady (the magnificent Judi Dench) and his landing in the bosom of The Captain's Daughter.

Rescued by the one who loves him the most, Jack is warned that the Fountain of Youth — for which he needs two silver chalices and a mermaid's tear — will test him. While in the tavern, he discovers someone is impersonating him and makes an astounding discovery as he fights the impostor. Cue a great one-liner from the film: "You've stolen me and I'm here to take myself back," says Jack.

Press-ganged aboard Queen Anne's Revenge, Jack comes face to face with Blackbeard (British acting legend Ian McShane), the most feared pirate of them all, and the lovely Angelica (Hollywood beauty Penélope Cruz). Angry that he once loved her and left her after seducing her, Angelica has her own agenda while Blackbeard is intent on finding the Fountain of Youth — no matter what.

Blackbeard and his zombie officers are utterly ruthless and have taken prisoner a stalwart missionary, Philip (Sam Claflin), who manages to accidentally trap a beautiful young mermaid, Syrena (prettily played by Astrid Bergès-Frisbey). As she becomes an unwilling pawn for Blackbeard, Jack doesn't know who to fear the most — the deadly pirate or Angelica.

Will Jack (or anyone else, for that matter!) find the fabled Fountain of Youth and take advantage of its powers? Is Angelica the love of Jack's life, or is she just a clever and ruthless con artist who is using him to find the Fountain of Youth?
