of Wayne Enterprises has become
a recluse; but pressure is on the Caped
Crusader to save Gotham City from

death and destruction in The Dark
Knight Rises...
HOLY SHENANIGANS! IS BATMAN BONKERS? Has Gotham City's top crime-buster really
gone into hibernation after taking the blame for the murder of District Attorney
Harvey Dent?
And why has wealthy industrialist Bruce Wayne (Oscar-winner Christian Bale playing
the dual role of Bruce Wayne and Batman: The Fighter) abandoned his alter-ego
Batman to spend his time languishing in a self-imposed seclusion, only seeing
his faithful manservant Alfred (Michael Caine: The Cider House Rules)?

The
crime-free period attributed to the anti-crime Dent Act in Gotham City is about
to come to an abrupt and deadly end.
Skulduggery is afoot and when a seemingly-unrelated incident of the CIA working
to free nuclear physicist Dr Leonid Pavel (Alom Moni About Boul) goes terrifyingly
wrong and Pavel finds himself in the hands of cold-blooded terrorist Bane (Tom
Hardy), the mercenary's evil plans could have a devastating effect on both Gotham
city and Wayne Enterprises.
Eight years after taking responsibility for the death of Harvey Dent and vanishing
into the night as a fugitive rather than a superhero, the Dark Knight has sacrificed
everything for what he and Commissioner James Gordon (Gary Oldman) hoped would
be for the greater good. It worked for a while as criminal activity in Gotham
City was halted by the anti-crime Dent Act.
The now very reclusive Bruce Wayne, still grieving over the loss of Rachel,
the woman he loved, abandoned Wayne Enterprises when he realised that a special
fusion project backed by Miranda Tate (Oscar-winner Marion Cotillard: La
Vie En Rose) and intended to be the world's best chance of a sustainable
future could also be used as a powerful bomb.
Cleverly tricking her way into Bruce Wayne's sanctuary in the East Wing of Wayne
Manor, beautiful and cunning jewel thief Selina Kyle (Anne Hathaway) intrigues
him; but will their meeting be Cathartic or Catastrophic for him and how are
the scheming Stryver (Burn Gorman), John Daggett (Ben Medelsohn)
who has already approached Miranda offering to get her money back
and the mercenary Bane, who was behind a coup in West Africa that secured a
mining operation for John Daggett, linked to her?
Bruce is dismayed to be told by young police officer Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
who still believes in The Batman that as a result
of abandoning Wayne Enterprises he has also affected the ability of The Wayne
Foundation to fund Gotham's orphanages.
The dangerous and totally ruthless Bane takes over Gotham, working from a network
of tunnels below the city and claiming to liberate the citizens of the metropolis,
while planning an unspeakable future for the city.
Batman is the only one who can fight the evil, but is the Caped Crusader willing
to face the masked terrorist and will he, even with the help of the Batman Armoury
and the loyal Lucius Fox (Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman: Million Dollar Baby),
be able to outwit Bane?
Batman will be tested to the limits of his endurance in a dark hell where only
his belief in himself will save him. And only then can it be possible that the
