The
exciting hi-octane action thriller Expendables 2 sees the mercenaries
back with a vengeance, tackling a
ruthless criminal with an evil and far-
reaching plan, who has stolen from
them a vital package and they want
it back...
KICKING OFF EXPLOSIVELY in the Sindhupalchowk District of Nepal, where a prisoner
is bound and hooded and about to be tortured, Expendables 2 sees the
band of heroes with attitude, led by Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) attempt
a rescue in his own inimitable way.
Reuniting the star-studded cast of The Expendables, the sequel is even
better than the original and Trench (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who was there to
save a Chinese billionaire, is back with his comrades for an amazing, white-knuckle
ride into a new adventure.
Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) plans to marry and Billy (Liam Hemsworth) wants
to leave the mercenaries and settle down with his French wife Sophie (Nikolette
Noel), whom he met in Afghanistan. But Church (Bruce Willis), the CIA man for
whom the mercenaries work, has another job for the team.
With
not one foot out of
place, Expendables 2
promises gasp-a-minute
action as a star-studded
cast delivers The
Business. Do not miss
this magnificent thriller!
A
Chinese plane has been shot down and inside it is a safe with contents that
Church insists must not fall into enemy hands. The safe has a special mechanism
that will blow if the wrong code is keyed in; but the code is always changing.
Church tells Ross that he must take Maggie Chan (Yu Nan) along to open the safe
and bring her back in exactly the same condition she left in. No pressure, then.
The A-plus team, including Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Yin Yang (Jet Li)
and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews), find the remains of the plane in the Gasak Mountains
of Albania; but the quick in-and-out they were hoping for turns into an unpredictable
and highly dangerous fight for survival with the cold-blooded Vilain (Jean-Claude
Van Damme), who knows no boundaries when it comes to getting what he wants.
With one of their number brutally slain by Vilain, the mercenaries have another
incentive to get back the package at all costs and will follow Vilain deep into
enemy territory in order to stop this lethal adversary and his men from toppling
the balance of world power; but they also want the ultimate revenge
and they don't care how they get it.
Even with the unexpected but very welcome help of old friend Booker (Chuck Norris),
who has his own brand of defence, things were never going to be easy. Vilain's
ruthless men, known as the Stangs, have taken over a village in the former Soviet
Union and are forcing the men to work plutonium mines with an horrific plan
that will have devastating, world-wide consequences.
But the villains hadn't reckoned with The Expendables. The fearless Ross has
his own unique way of dealing with the bad guys and if he is going out it will
be in a blaze of glory.
Despite the sometimes serious, sometimes tragic parts of the film
which is gory in places, Expendables 2 has some very funny moments with
the benefit of light-hearted banter, witty and inspired dialogue and what is
arguably the greatest-ever action cast.
Coming with a loaded set of Extras, The Expendables 2 is the all-action
sequel you have been waiting for. With not one foot out of place, Expendables
2 promises gasp-a-minute action as a star-studded cast delivers The Business.
Do not miss this magnificent thriller!
