Total Recall
Total Recall“If you cannot trust your memories, who
can you trust? A construction worker
living in the future has vivid dreams of
living on another planet, but is it pure
fantasy or is his life part of a deeper plan
to control his every move unless he can
  realize a ‘total recall’
..
.”

BELIEVING HE IS HAPPILY MARRIED to the beautiful Lori (Sharon Stone) and with a good job in construction, Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is nevertheless troubled by increasingly-vivid dreams of life on another world with a mysterious woman.

It is 2084 and Earth has survived a Third World War. Two opposing government blocs rule and the now-colonised Mars is suffering political unrest. But Doug's obsession with the colony is to become a living nightmare.

Total Recall — a rocket-
load of turbo-paced
action...”
Lori seems unnaturally disturbed by Doug's dreams and keen to stop him from focusing too much on Mars and on the subsequent televised news coverage of the violence. But is she a concerned wife who is jealous of the dream woman, or is there another, darker, reason for her fears?

Seeing an advertisement for Rekall, a mega-conglomerate that has the technology to give you the memory of a lifetime by taking you on a virtual vacation to the mountains of Mars or a Saturn cruise, Doug believes he can solve the truth about his dreams. He upgrades to go with a completely new identity as a secret agent — a decision that will take him into great danger.

During the implant procedure something goes drastically wrong and Doug awakens a whole new personality that has apparently been blocked from his mind. The world he thought was his crumbles around him. Everything and everybody he thought he knew; every experience he thought he'd had, seems to be proving to be a lie.

It appears that somebody has erased Doug's memory and Rekall needs to quickly get rid of him. So begins the fight to stay alive as he is relentlessly pursued by his wife and former friends, leaving a trail of devastation in his wake. It seems they know his every move, but how can they have put a trace on him?

Doug will have to travel to Mars to find out who he really is and what happened to him. Will he find the answer to his lost memories? Will he find anybody he can really trust and can he even trust his own instincts? Is he really the spy he believes himself to be or is he suffering some grand paranoid delusion?
